Introduction
Bumi Nautika Berkelanjutan specializes in providing scientific and legal support for resolving environmental
disputes. Especially in cases where coral reef damage and marine pollution result from vessel grounding, oil
spills, cargo discharges, and coastal infrastructure development.
In the event of an environmental dispute, corporate entities are frequently presumed to be at fault. It often
results in reputational harm and operational disruption.

Detail
Bumi Nautika provides expert advisory services to members of the Protection & Indemnity (P&I) Club — an international association of shipowners and marine insurers — who are in dispute with the Government of Indonesia. These disputes typically arise from incidents such as vessel grounding, cargo spillage, or oil spills that result in damage to coral reefs and coastal ecosystems. Our team conducts scientific assessments to quantify the extent of environmental damage, performs economic valuation of the impacted areas, and develops site-specific coral reef restoration plans. In several cases, Bumi Nautika has also been entrusted with the direct implementation of these restoration efforts.
Environmental Permit

Coastal Baseline Data

- › Universitas Indonesia and Bukit Makmur Resource – Coastal baseline data at the north of Kabaena Island
Detail
In this project, Bumi Nautika collaborates with Universitas Indonesia to conduct comprehensive scientific assessments aimed at evaluating the health and status of coastal ecosystems. The resulting data serves multiple strategic purposes, including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, Environmental Impact Assessments (AMDAL and ESIA), and the development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
